Dr. Rich Lorang, DVM graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.  Rich worked as a both a large and small animal veterinarian for his first six years of practice in Jordan, Minnesota. Since leaving Jordan, Rich has focused his energy on primarily small animal medicine. He very much enjoys seeing a wide range of breeds of cats and dogs, along with the occasional bird, reptile, rodent, and wildlife patient. Rich has been known to say, “I’ll treat anything that can fit through the front door.”  Rich started Countryside Animal Hospital in 2001.  He and his wife Virginia have three children, Zach, Sam, and Mary, two dogs, Stella and Rudy, and two hives of honey bees. Rich enjoys camping, kayaking, fishing, gardening, and many other hobbies.

Dr. Signe Wass, DVM has been practicing at Countryside since 2004. Originally from Underwood, MN, Dr. Wass completed her undergraduate degree at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of MN in 2001. Dr. Wass enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and practicing in the Northfield area. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading and traveling. She and her husband, Tim, have two daughters.  They also  share their home with one cat, Trygve.

Dr. Caitlin Trebelhorn, DVM  graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.  A Northfield native and 2006 graduate from Northfield High School, Dr. Trebelhorn completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2010. Dr. Trebelhorn enjoys the everyday challenge of veterinary medicine ad the wide variety of cases she sees while working with dogs, cats, birds and other small mammals. Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, gardening, playing the piano and hiking with her dog.  Dr. Trebelhorn and her husband Brendon are excited to be back home in Northfield as she begins her career at Countryside. They share their home with their dog Annie and three cats- Rory, Hattie and Meredith. 

Jess, CVT/Office Manager- joined the Countryside team in December, 2010.  Jess is a Northfield native who enjoys working with all kinds of animals and their owners.  Jess graduated in 2007 from Minnesota School of Business-Shakopee with her associates in Veterinary Technology and was certified shortly after.  Client education and special needs patients are particular areas of interest for her.  Jess lives in Northfield with her husband Jon, their two children and their American Eskimo dog, Beau, Poodle Mix, Bella and Chihuahua Mix, Lilo.  Jess loves spending as much time as possible traveling and having quality family time.

Laura,  CVT joined Countryside in the spring of 2011.  She started out as a veterinary assistant in 1999 and then graduated from Argosy University in 2000 as a CVT.  Laura enjoys being able to work with all the different types of animals, with special interest in feline behavior, orthopedic and non-routine surgery.  In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time outside, gardening and hanging out with friends and family.  Laura and her husband Trevor have two daughters, Olivia and Mara, and share their home with a cat, Calvin.

Brehanna, CVT joined Countryside in February 2012.  Brehanna graduated from school in the winter of 2010, and became certified in the summer of 2011.  Brehanna enjoys working with all of the animals and enjoys meeting the owners that take care of them.  Brehanna has a special interest in hematology and parasitology.  In her spare time she takes care of her two cats and Raider her lab and enjoys spending time outside in the sun and traveling with friends all around the world.

Keri, CVT joined Countryside in February of 2013. She graduated from Argosy University in 2011 and became certified shortly after. Keri enjoys working in a small animal clinic and has a special interest in small animal dentistry. Keri lives in Northfield with her husband, twin boys, dogs Lucy and Lily and an odd little cat named Booger. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, knitting and spending time with her immediate and extended family.

Cindy, CVT officially joined our team in September 2014. Many of you may know her from being our intern or from our kennel. She attended Rochester Community & Technical College, graduated in May 2013 and became certified in July 2013. She enjoys going in on appointments where she can meet both the owners and pets and really get to know them. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends, family, her dog Ace and reading.

Michelle-has worked as a receptionist for over 10 years before coming to Countryside Animal Hospital in July of 2015. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason and son, Anthony.  Michelle enjoys everything outdoors and gets out with her 3 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers (Twister, Riley and Kain) as much as possible. She loves all animals and is very excited to be able to work around them daily.
