The first snowflakes have fallen and with that came the ice on the sidewalks as well. Please make sure to be careful on your daily dog walks.
The most common orthopedic injury in dogs is the tearing of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in the knee; the most common reason being slipping on the ice running after that beloved ball.
- Holding back leg up, not bearing any weight on it.
- Intermittent limping or non weight bearing back leg
- Reoccurring lameness after being on medications
