Saying good bye to Jennifer Trader.

Jennifer has been working with us for the last month to fulfill her externship at the Minnesota school of business. The externship is her final step in becoming a certified Veterinary technician. We thank her for her wonderful help and wish her the best of luck in the future.

The Miracle of life” at the Minnesota state fair is a must see.

They had hatching eggs with baby chicks, turkeys, pigs, sheep and cows giving birth every day. The lambs are so cute. When I was there they had a few sets of twins and a few sets of triplets that had just been born. Three sows had large litters of piglets and one was giving birth the entire time I was there. The public can stand right next to the delivering animal and watch. There are live video monitors all over the building so everyone has an excellent view of the deliveries.

The volunteer staff consists of FFA members, The College of Veterinary Medicine, and Minnesota Veterinary Medicinal Association members like me and Dr. Signe Wass.  As a member of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association I volunteered to answer questions from the public and assist if necessary.

If you have not seen it yet or have not been up to the State fair in a while I would strongly encourage bringing a friend or the whole family next year.
