Dr. Rich Lorang

Dr. Rich Lorang graduated from the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.  Rich worked as a both a large and small animal veterinarian for his first six years of practice in Jordan, Minnesota.  Since leaving Jordan, Rich has focused his energy on primarily small animal medicine.  He very much enjoys seeing a wide range of breeds of cats and dogs, along with the occasional bird, reptile, rodent, and wildlife patient.  Rich has been known to say, “I’ll treat anything that can fit through the front door”!

Rich started Countryside Animal Hospital in 2001.  He and his wife Virginia have three children, Zach, Sam, and Mary, two dogs, Sophie and Darla, a cat named Lou, two alpacas, six sheep, and three hives of honey bees. Rich enjoys camping, kayaking, fishing, gardening, and many other hobbies

Dr. Signe Wass has been practicing at Countryside since 2004. Originally from Underwood, MN, Dr. Wass completed her undergraduate degree at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of MN in 2001. Dr. Wass enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and practicing in the Northfield area. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family,  gardening, reading and traveling. She and her husband, Tim, have one daughter and are expecting another at the end of July.  They also share their home with two cats, Ole and Trygve.

Dr. Wass and her husband welcomed a new baby girl on July 15, 2008!
